Peacock and Roll

A few weeks ago, while I was wandering in an art store, I’ve found something I was looking for a while : a kraft paper sketchbook. I bought one, took my colored pencils and quickly draw a peacock to test it.

Of course, kraft paper is not as thick as the Bristol or watercolor paper I’m using for my illustrations. However, its tint allow me to work differently with colors, playing with shadows and lights, the same way as with a wood panel.

It’s only a matter of time before I do more mid-tint illustrations. In the meantime, hurray for colors experiments !
